Backsaver Augers

Ultimate flexibility We give you more choices to match your auger to your bins, power sources and operating convenience. This superior scissor lift system features a one way hydraulic cylinder with a restrictor valve to control the rate of descent in the event of hydraulic hose failure. This feature is safer than conventional cable systems. Also, note the extra wide undercarriage and wheel tread providing better stability at greater heights, particularly in windy conditions. This unique mechanical linkage is designed to use less hydraulic pressure to lift the auger, even when fully loaded.

The pivoting Hopper Lift arm may be flipped over for left or right transport position.

Slip the PTO from the main shaft onto the optional reverse kit for complete cleanout. An adjustable arm holds the PTO shaft when not in use. The hitch is adjustable for various tractor hitch lengths. (Service cover removed for photo.)

Shut off Valve: Leaving your auger raised and unattended? This shut off valve is designed to keep your auger in the position you set it.

The cross auger and main auger are driven by two internal gearboxes. Shown here with the access door open, these assemblies are easily reached for service. Because of the large input and intake boxes, capacity is not restricted. Also shown here is another access portal for convenient cleanout.

Low Profile, Self Leveling Hopper: The standard self leveling hopper on all Back Saver augers stays flat on the ground, even when the auger is raised up to a high bin.

Low Profile Hopper: The optional double auger hopper is 2.5" lower than the standard self-leveling hopper. Hinged cover for easy servicing.

Power Mover: An optional 2 wheel power mover allows you to move the hopper back and forth with finger tip control. Easy access ports for servicing. Also see the Buhler Hopper Mover.

Other advanced features include a tapered thrust bearing at the top of the auger, torqued to remove pressure on the bottom end bearing.
