Buhler to introduce new products in
Regina, SK and Westgate, IA
June 18, 2007
WINNIPEG, MB - Buhler is releasing two new products this week at the Western Canada Farm Progress Show in Regina, SK and the Farm Progress Hay Expo in Westgate, IA.
The Buhler Farm King grain handling division will display the new Buhler 1035 conveyor, the first conveyor designed and built at the factory in Morden, MB. This 10 x 35’ conveyor represents the first step in an expanding line of Buhler conveyors that will be introduced in the coming months.
We’re excited about these new products, says Steve Froese, Sales Manager for Buhler Manufacturing. “The new conveyor will be manufactured alongside the full line of Buhler Farm King grain augers at the factory in Morden, which has been building grain handling equipment since the 1930’s. Buhler conveyors will borrow design cues and innovations from Farm King products and we’re confident that these new conveyors will build on the success of our existing conveyor line.
The Buhler Inland hay tools division is introducing the new 4500 Square Bale Carrier. The new bale carrier features a host of innovative technology including an in-cab monitor, new hydraulic system and smoother, more efficient operation.
Froese says, The new 4500 Square Bale Carrier is an exciting change to our line of bale carriers. We listened to customers’ requests for smoother operation and have taken it one step further by incorporating a user-friendly in-cab monitor. The machine can be operated using factory pre-sets or can be customized to meet the needs of the operator.
The Buhler 1035 conveyor and 4500 Square Bale Carrier will be on display June 20-22 at the Western Canada Farm Progress Show in Regina, SK. The 4500 Square Bale Carrier will be on display and participating in field demonstrations at the Farm Progress Hay Expo in Westgate, IA on June 20-21.

The 4500 Square Bale Carrier replaces the outgoing 4000 model and features an all-new in-cab monitor that was not available on the previous generation. The new monitor includes factory presets that allow the carrier to be operated with factory pre-sets or customized to the user’s preferences. Monitor menu options include:
Diagnostic: Provides the status of seven sensors. When the machine is in its neutral, or “Home” position, a quick check of all seven sensors will indicate that the machine is ready to use.
Auto: Select one of the preset bale sizes listed on the monitor and indicate preference of single- or double-row stacking. The carrier is now ready for use.
Calibration: Fine tune and customize carrier operation. Set grab arm approach height, squeeze pressure and lift height in conjunction with a pressure status bar on the monitor. Six memory slots are available to recall operator preferences for various bale sizes.
Manual: Manually operate each function of the bale carrier. Useful for picking up a bale that is heavier than the others, or is a different size.
The carrier arm has been further reinforced to enhance stability and strength. The pickup sequence has been reduced to roughly 14-seconds, compared to the 22-second cycle time of the outgoing model (depending on tractor hydraulics).
